Early Mexican Silver Necklace
This 19th century silver filigree necklace is a great representation of what earlier Mexican jewelry looked like before William Spratling came to Taxco. A silver filigree necklace is composed of three dimensional flowers, set on a chain for a total length of 17 inches.The largest flower medallion is 1 1/2 inches in diameter. Each link of this chain is welded showing a level of artisan skill from another era.Marked on the loop, Made in Mexico,this delicate necklace is pure joy.
